The Stevens Amendment

The Mid-Carolina Workforce Development Board receives funding through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which is administered by the U.S. Department of Labor. As a recipient of federal financial assistance, we are required to comply with the Stevens Amendment, which ensures transparency and accountability in the use of federal funds.

In compliance with the Stevens Amendment:

Funding details for award totals are provided as follows and revised annually.

WIOA Title I Programs

Mid-Carolina Workforce Development Board Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Programs are federally supported 100% by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $2,879,564.

WIOA Adult Program

Mid-Carolina Workforce Development Board Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult Program is federally supported 100% by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $1,020,456.

WIOA Dislocated Worker Program

Mid-Carolina Workforce Development Board Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Dislocated Worker Program is federally supported 100% by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $794,100.

WIOA Youth Program

Mid-Carolina Workforce Development Board Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth Program is federally supported 100% by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $1,065,008.

Strategic Initiatives

Small Business, Substance Disorder, & Reentry

Mid-Carolina Workforce Development Board supports all three of these programs in whole, or in part, with ARPA funding.
